INTERSTELLARCLOUDS

Summer fun

By Mr. Cloud, July 11, 2021

Hi everyone! Wow, I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve written.  It’s already mid-summer and I’ve been so busy.  My mom and I have been getting out under the stars since spring but the past month has been tough with all the clouds.  But we always find fun ways to spend our cloudy days and nights together.  We’re outside playing and guarding almost everyday!

After lots of cold nights outside, my mom said she finally finished configuring the telescope and the camera.  She finally got a good shot of the Bodes and Cigar galaxies.

This is what the Bodes and Cigar galaxies look like.  My mom says she hopes to get a better image next time.

I had to wear my sweater even on a night in June because it gets a little cool at night! Now we wait for another clear night out to see Jupiter and Saturn and the Pillars of Creation.

Anyway, getting back to the really important stuff, we camped in the yard last weekend which was so much fun! My mom put a nice tri-tip on the smoker, made pancakes on the grill, and we had a campfire!

This is me waiting by the smoker. The tri-tip was really good!  I have enough to last me the rest of the week I think.

And here I am waiting for the pancakes to be done.

Until next time!

Catching up

We’ve been way to busy to have time to write! Last year we enjoyed the great total solar eclipse from our yard! My mom built me a Polar Express train to help me go up the stairs, and we went fall rain camping!

Adventures and Fun

Just a few photos from some of our adventures!

Welcome Spring 2023

After a long winter, spring is finally here! We have been really busy going for hikes, doing astronomy in the backyard, and just enjoying the earth waking up!

Where has the time gone?

Life has been incredibly busy! 2022 just went in a flash. I had a major surgery, celebrated my 10th birthday, and even went swimming. There’s a lot to chronicle but just wanted to say hi for now!

Andromeda, the Dog Galaxy?

I wonder if there are dogs in that galaxy simultaneously looking through a telescope at the Milky Way wondering if there are dogs in this galaxy too? Maybe Andromeda is run by dogs like in Planet of the Apes, except it would be Galaxy of the Dogs.
